PRAYER of the 9-Month Novena to our Lady of Guadalupe

To be prayed daily throughout the nine-month novena from Mar 12 to Dec 12, 2024.

‍O Virgin Mother of God, we fly to your protection and beg your intercession against the darkness and sin which ever more envelop the world and menace the Church. Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave you to us as our mother as He died on the Cross for our salvation. So too, in 1531, when darkness and sin beset us, He sent you, as Our Lady of Guadalupe, on Tepeyac to lead us to Him Who alone is our light and our salvation.

Through your apparitions on Tepeyac and your abiding presence with us on the miraculous mantle of your messenger, Saint Juan Diego, millions of souls converted to faith in your Divine Son. Through this novena and our consecration to you, we humbly implore your intercession for our daily conversion of life to Him and the conversion of millions more who do not yet believe in Him. In our homes and in our nation, lead us to Him Who alone wins the victory over sin and darkness in us and in the world.

Unite our hearts to your Immaculate Heart so that they may find their true and lasting home in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Ever guide us along the pilgrimage of life to our eternal home with Him. So may our hearts, one with yours, always trust in God's promise of salvation, in His never-failing mercy toward all who turn to Him with a humble and contrite heart. Through this novena and our consecration to you, O Virgin of Guadalupe, lead all souls in America and throughout the world to your Divine Son in Whose name we pray. Amen.

St Rita Prayer for the Impossible

O Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors has been called the Advocate of the Hopeless and even of the Impossible; St. Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of such compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that thou could obtain from Him whatsoever thou ask, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.

We promise, if our petition is granted, to honor thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Oh Holy Angel, whom God by the effect of His goodness and His tender regard for my welfare, has charged with the care of my conduct, and who assists me in all my wants and comforts me in all my afflictions, who supports me when I am discouraged and continually obtains for me new favours.

I return thee profound thanks, and I earnestly beseech thee, O most amiable protector, to continue thy charitable care and defence of me against the malignant attacks of my enemies.

Keep me away from all occasions of sin.  Obtain for me the grace of listening attentively to thy holy inspirations and of faithfully putting them into practice.

Holy Mary, mother of God and our most blessed mother, you know my problems both small and large that like knots are tight and hard to undo.  I feel restricted by them, and do no know how to overcome them.  I come to you, and offer myself.  Oh Mary, Mother of Mercy.  Unite the knots that I am burdened with.  

Deliver me from the darkness of sin and guide me on the path of light.  Protect me from confusion and doubt and open my heart to the truth of the gospel.  Free me from the prison that I have created that afflicts me in my life and send me the holy spirit.  Assist me from life's illnesses of body and soul, deliver me from the anxieties and fears that bind me.

Saint Anne - Prayer to Obtain a Special Favor

Feast Day is July 26.  Saints Joachim and Anne are the parents of Mary, and the grandparents of Jesus.

Glorious St. Anne, filled with compassion for those who invoke you and with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present affair which I recommend to you under your special protection.

Holy Mother of God, Virgin of Childbirth, we come to you to sing your praise.  You are the beloved daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Word incarnate, the Temple of the Holy Spirit.  You are the Virgin God chose from eternity to realize our salvation: ask your Son Jesus to grant us a strong faith, a solid hope, and a generous charity.

Virgin Mother, we put under your care all the mothers who pray for the integrity of their children and for a successful birth, so that the life in their womb may be preserved from all dangers.  Grant them to come back to you with their child to give thanks to the Lord who works wonders for those who hopefully trust in him.

Mary, Queen Assumed into Heaven, I rejoice that after years of heroic martyrdom on earth, you have at last been taken to the throne prepared for you in heaven by the Holy Trinity.

This Prayer was recited daily after Communion by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her Sisters of Charity. 

Dear Jesus, help me to spread Your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that my life may only be a radiance of Yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus! Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others. The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine. It will be You, shining on others through me. Let me thus praise You in the way which You love best, by shining on those around me.
